A bungled gift transaction

I sent this as a gift. Bloomingdales then sent me an ending saying that I changed my address to the recipients address and charged the recipient for the gift! I called customer service . They told me they would delete the first order and resend to the recipient. The result is that Bloomingdales has charged my Amex not once but twice for this gift, and when they resent the gift they eliminated the gift card so that the recipient had no idea who sent this gift to them. I am so disappointed in the way Bloomingdales has handled this transaction. I just don’t have the time to be in the phone with Bloomingdales for another hour only to find out that the situation had not been fixed.
